Design your own silver ring

If you always wanted to create your own unique piece of silver jewelry by hand or just want to spend a relaxing afternoon to unwind your creativity then this workshop is for you!
I will teach you the art of wax carving, a technique widely used in jewelry making to design and make your dream ring. Carving wax gives you endless opportunities to create something 3d, abstract, minimal, geometric or organic.
We will begin the workshop with a short introduction to the lost wax process and with basic tips and tricks on how to design a comfortable ring. I will show you how to use the different tools to carve the wax and the various techniques that can be used.
You can then start designing/sketching out your ring before beginning the carving. Samples and images will be available for inspiration and you will be guided throughout the whole process.
When you are happy with your finished carving we will show you how to prepare your ring for casting. After the workshop your wax ring will be casted in sterling silver, and I will finish and polished it for you. This procedure takes about 3 working weeks.
You will be contacted once your ring is ready for collection. If you live in another city or abroad you can request to be ship your ring to your desired address.
Additional services such as engraving and gold-plating are offered at an additional cost. These can be requested and paid for at the end of the workshop. Please allow 1 more extra week to complete your additional requests.

The workshops will take place in our new cozy studio in the heart of the old city of Nicosia, on the first Saturday of each month. No previous experience with jewelry making is required to attend. This workshop is beginner friendly!
